In line with our expansion strategy, we are acquiring an online beauty brand this year. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Director to lead our financial operations, strengthen commercial decision-making, and drive financial integration across our portfolio.
The Role
We are looking for a highly commercial Finance Director on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract, reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
This role will be pivotal in:
• Overseeing financial reporting, cash flow, and forecasting across eComplete and acquired entities.
• Supporting our M&A strategy, leading the financial integration of new businesses.
• Strengthening financial controls, compliance, and commercial decision-making.
• Optimising financial performance to drive growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate is a strategic finance leader with experience in eCommerce, M&A, and high-growth environments, who can bridge operational finance with commercial insight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Lead end-to-end financial management, ensuring robust financial governance, forecasting, and cash flow oversight.
- Financial reporting tailored to a range of stakeholders including external investors, co-founders, leadership team and wider business.
- Leading annual budget process, working with the leadership team to set our annual budget, aligning our strategic and commercial objectives.
- Track key financial KPIs, identifying opportunities to enhance performance and efficiency.
2. Commercial Strategy & Business Partnering
- Act as a key strategic advisor to the Managing Director and SLT, delivering data-driven financial guidance.
- Support revenue growth, cost control, and pricing strategies to improve overall profitability.
- Streamline financial processes and controls to ensure efficiency and scalability across all business units.
- Conduct scenario modelling, financial analysis, and investment appraisals for business expansion.
3. M&A and Business Integration
- Play a central role in financial due diligence, risk assessment, and post-acquisition integration.
- Establish and embed the finance function for newly acquired businesses.
- Develop financial controls, reporting structures, and operational frameworks for new entities.
- Ensure a seamless transition of financial systems, processes, and reporting structures post-acquisition.
Who We’re Looking For:
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 8+ years post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in eCommerce, DTC brands, or high-growth digital businesses.
- Strong background in financial strategy, budgeting, cash flow management, and commercial finance.
- Experience in M&A transactions, financial due diligence, and business integrations.
- Prior work in a PE-backed or acquisitive business is highly desirable.
