Ecommpay is on a mission to build a global, data-driven payment ecosystem. We help top e-commerce companies to grow globally with local bespoke solutions. You have a unique chance to be the driving force behind Ecommpay's payment platform as a Business Analyst (Card Acquiring / E-commerce).
The Business Analyst will work closely with product, development, QA, scheme representatives, and external partners, contributing to the evolution of a scalable, compliant, and scheme-certified card acquiring solution.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and formalize business requirements for e-commerce card acquiring and payment flows
- Translate business needs into clear functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Own assigned payment components or domains end-to-end, ensuring clarity and correctness of business logic
- Analyze and document authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, tokenization, and 3DS flows
- Ensure full compliance with card scheme rules and participate in scheme-related initiatives and assessments
- Work directly with merchants, payment partners, and schemes to define integration requirements
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Create and maintain process models, flow diagrams, and functional documentation (BPMN/UML or similar)
- Collaborate within Scrum teams on refinement, sprint planning, and multi-stream delivery
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in payments, fintech, or card acquiring, with hands-on e-commerce acquiring exposure
- Strong domain knowledge of authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, tokenization, and 3DS flows
- Solid understanding of Visa and Mastercard scheme rules within a regulated European payments environment
- Working knowledge of PSD2, SCA, and GDPR, with ability to embed regulatory needs into functional requirements
- Excellent analytical thinking and process modelling skills
- Ability to clearly communicate complex payment concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and high-level transaction lifecycles (without deep technical ownership)
- Proficiency in English

Salary Range: 3000 - 4300 EUR Gross/month
