Junior Communications Assistant - Internship

The Role

As part of the development of our communication and marketing strategy, there are a number of new initiatives linked to our culture and communications. The role of the Assistant will be to work with HR and Communications to work on areas such as the company’s Mission and Values Campaign and to help provide content and support to this project. In addition, there will be a HR project to work on building and designing the careers website for ECOMs new Applicant Tracking System.

We are looking for a creative, hard-working and enthusiastic self-starter to work with the team to run with a campaign programme to launch our Values across the ECOM Group and driving measurable results across all areas of the business. You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders.

• Design impactful content using tools like Canva to align with the brand's message and image.
• Create internal materials such as posters, flyers, corporate communications and training documents.
• Shoot, edit, and produce video reels and interviews.
• Ensuring relevant internal stakeholders are consulted / kept informed throughout the campaign, giving briefings on campaign plans, activities and results as required.
• Ability and Expertise to write, plan and create content
• Support with copywriting and proofreading for values materials
• Assist with the design of the Applicant Tracking System (careers site and recruitment software)

Skills & Experience

• Has a relevant marketing/design qualification (preferred)
• Experience of creating engaging content
• Knowledge and experience with Canva, design and Microsoft packages
• Experience in video capturing and editing
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Flexible, collaborative, positive and proactive in approach
• Attention to detail and capacity to be autonomous
