We are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to focus primarily on our operations out of Nigeria.
Main Responsibilities- Working with the Shipping Manager to provide logistic support to the trading team
- Liaising with our overseas operations, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and colleagues in the Netherlands
- Monitoring shipments, agreements and all related documentation
- Checking & processing invoices for payment and liaising with the Accounts team
- Timely and accurate entering of data to our in-house system
- Stock management – reconciliation of stock confirmation with our in-house system
- Educated to a degree level in any related field
- A minimum of 3 years proven work experience within a similar shipping/logistics role within commodities or a similar environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft, particularly Excel
- Highly organised with the ability to track and manage a variety of shipments within a busy period
- Familiarisation with warehousing/freight and knowledge of demurrage/detention claims
