Founded in 1999, Ecolution Group provides renewable energy technologies to the commercial and social housing sectors. Our dedicated team design, supply, install, and provide maintenance for all of our clients’ renewables requirements. Ecolution Group has a long history in the renewable energy transition, installing our first heat pump over 22 years ago. Purpose of the role

The Warehouse Operative role is a critical function that ensures the efficiency of our engineering workforce and the success of our client service delivery KPIs. The purpose of this role is to manage the flow of materials, inventory, and vehicles to ensure that field engineers have accurate stock and reliable transport, enabling us to provide excellent service and efficient repairs to our clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Goods Handling & Inventory Administration: Receive, pick, pack, and dispatch goods. Carry out administrative tasks related to stock control, including receipting goods into and shipping goods out of the stock inventory system.
  • Stock Accuracy: Carry out accurate weekly, monthly, and annual stock checks on specified items to maintain critical stock levels for purchasing decisions.
  • Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload lorries and vans using a forklift (training provided if required).
  • Fleet Management Support: Book in company vans for repairs, servicing, and MOTs, and assist the Operations Team with general vehicle maintenance identified during routine checks.
  • Logistics & Driving: Carry out some driving duties, including collecting materials or delivering critical components to engineers or job sites as required.
  • Uniform Management: Manage the stock of engineers’ uniform to ensure sufficient inventory is always available for replacements and new starters.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the warehouse at all times, adhering to all H&S policies.

Skills to Demonstrate

  • Organisational Excellence: Exceptional timekeeping and organisational skills with attention to detail, particularly for stock accuracy and paperwork.
  • IT Proficiency: Good IT skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are essential.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities as reactive repairs demand.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Proven ability to work independently on core tasks while collaborating effectively as part of the wider Operations Team.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive, “can-do” attitude with problem‑solving skills to overcome logistical or material challenges.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift and move heavy goods.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical materials is desirable but not essential (full training will be provided).
  • Working knowledge of Inventory Management Systems is desirable (full training will be provided).
  • Forklift Licence is required, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems (highly desirable).

Package Offered

Competitive Salary (£28,000 – £30,000 Depending on Experience and Qualifications), inclusive of enhanced QS Responsibility Allowance Performance based bonus scheme. Overtime.
