We are looking for an officer to support the delivery ofaNatureSpacePartnershipGCNdistrictlevellicenceacross Warwickshire,Coventry & Solihull local authorities.
You will work closely withtheNatureSpacePartnership,developers, private sector ecologists, andthe wider team to provide a complete package of supportforthe delivery ofthedistrictlevellicencefor GCN.You will raise awareness of the scheme within the local planning authorities, understand planning and licensing requirements, and monitor and advise on compliance and enforcement measures.You’llbecovering everything fromidentifyingGCN constraints within planning applications, to supporting the creation of compensatory habitats. To do thisyou’llbe providing guidance to both developers and team members.The post is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of ecological planning advice.
Agood knowledge ofgreat crestednewt ecology and planning application processeswould be an advantage, but all guidance and training will be given.
You will be joining a dedicated, knowledgeable, and experienced teamcomprising14 ecological officers,fivehistoric environment officers, andtwolandscape architects.

Our workforce training plan supports active progression from apprentices toService Managers,following the respective chartered institute competency frameworks (or equivalent).
