Social Impact & Research Analyst

Location: Hybrid (London-based with flexible working arrangements)

Contract Type: Fixed-term/Permanent, Full-time/Part-time

As a growing organisation, we are seeking a dedicated team member to help shape the future of urban innovation through research, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

The Role

We are looking for a Social Impact & Research Analyst to support the development of a collaborative, co-creative social impact assessment framework for nine urban industrial symbiosis hubs across Europe and beyond. You will be responsible for analysing urban data, conducting research, creating compelling content, and assessing the impact of interventions to drive sustainable urban development.

This role is ideal for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about sustainable innovation.

What You'll Do

Research & Analysis

•     Conduct desk-based research on citizen engagement frameworks and communities of practice in circular economy contexts.

•     Develop data-driven insights to support sustainable urban development.

Social Impact Assessment

•     Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and recommend improvements.

Content Creation

•     Develop engaging visuals and infographics to communicate research findings.

•     Contribute to training materials that simplify complex concepts for various audiences.

Collaboration & Project Delivery

•     Work with interdisciplinary and international teams to integrate research into project deliverables.

•     Prepare reports and presentations for diverse stakeholders.

•     Support project management and reporting for funding bodies.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

•     Strong understanding of circular economy principles and sustainable urban development, ideally in EU-funded projects.

•     Experience in research, data analysis, and social impact assessment.

•     Proficiency in visualisation tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva, Figma) and training material development.

•     Ability to translate complex ideas into actionable insights and compelling content.

•     Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools.

•     Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.

•     Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills

•     Background in behavioural science.

•     Familiarity with data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); knowledge of Python, SQL, or other programming languages.

•     Previous experience in EU-funded sustainability projects.

•     Competitive salary: £35,000 – £50,000/year (gross for full-time), depending on experience.
