Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking an experienced and motivated Solution Architect - GHT to join our innovation efforts and support our customers in the Global High Tech (GHT). We are seeking a candidate with a strong technical background, who is ‘hands-on’, ideally with practical field/application experience, who is self-motivated, enjoys versatility and work across different topics and projects, has a desire for collaboration and is a creative problem solver.

Main Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end technical architectures for water treatment, monitoring, and sustainability platforms.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams to understand client challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
- Commercial Excellence Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal & Communication Development: Draft, edit, and deliver proposals that integrate input from sales, marketing, and technical experts. Ensure messaging highlights contractor needs, compliance, and value propositions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the communication bridge across commercial and technical functions. Translate technical details into clear, customer-friendly language.
- Customer-Centric Focus: Prioritise contractor requirements in all communications. Present operational outcomes as secondary benefits, reinforcing efficiency and reliability.
- Quality & Consistency: Maintain consistency in tone, branding, and messaging across proposals and communications. Ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Collect feedback from contractors and internal teams to refine communication strategies. Support the development of templates, best practices, and knowledge libraries.
- Innovation: Drive adoption of smart water management technologies, including IoT, predictive analytics, and digital twins.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure solutions meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers, R&D, and field engineers to deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and technical governance standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or similar).
- Proven experience in designing complex technical solutions or architectures (industrial systems, water treatment, or infrastructure projects).
- Experience in solution architecture, systems engineering, or technical consulting roles.
- Strong capability to design end-to-end system architectures.
- Knowledge of water treatment systems, monitoring and sustainability platforms, familiarity with IoT, digital platforms, predictive analytics, digital twins.
- Ability to define and maintain technical roadmaps, reference architectures, and technical governance frameworks.
- Solid understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience working closely with customers and sales teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills to present complex architectures to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to align multiple stakeholders and drive solution development from concept to delivery.
- Experience working in a matrix and international environment.
- Strong attention to technical governance and standardisation.
