Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking an Industry Technical Consultant for our Micro Electronics Division supporting Water Treatment applications, including cooling, pre-treatment, reclaim/recycle and wastewater. Our team of Industry Technical Consultants plays a crucial role in supporting business growth, driving innovation, and transferring knowledge to ensure the success of our programs and clients’ operation. As an Industry Technical Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and solving complex clients’ problems
  • Training technical audiences
  • Recommending operational efficiency improvements for our clients’ utility systems
  • Validating new innovative technologies
  • Assisting Corporate Account Managers and Sales Reps in making technical related sales calls and presentations at a corporate level
  • Researching, identifying and defining market and product application opportunities
  • Assisting in developing and implementing marketing plans to capture identified sales opportunities

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver best-in-class expertise, system optimization and problem solving in the most dynamic and challenging customer environments
  • Play a critical role in demonstrating total value delivered and selling value of our solutions combining chemistry, automation, digital, equipment and engineered solutions
  • Lead problem solving efforts by utilizing various root cause analysis methodologies to resolve application or best practice concerns at customer sites
  • Assess water treatment programs, recommend and quantify operational efficiency improvement projects in a documented report
  • Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams to support industry-specific or strategic technical sales opportunities
  • Work closely with clients to understand their technology requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and provide training and support to ensure proper use of implemented systems
  • Collaborate with R&D and Marketing on Innovation projects, from ideation to launch, by completing Phase Gate milestones such as refining value propositions, defining operational savings, creating technical documentation, and educating internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead innovation pilot applications, technical trials and market trials
  • Deliver value to our customers utilizing a problem-solving mindset to deliver innovative results
  • Facilitate training for associates and customers, sharing your specialized knowledge to foster skill development and proficiency
  • Coach individuals in the organization on processes, applications, technologies, and value documentation

Position Details:

  • This position is remote and will support customers across Europe
  • 50% or more overnight travel required
  • Includes benefits package and company car

Your profile:

  • Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in optimizing water/wastewater and cooling operations in the Semi-Conductor Industry
  • Proven experience in complex chemistry, automation, digital, equipment and engineered solutions both from Ecolab and the wider industry
  • Inquisitive mind, challenging the status quo and embracing disruptive technologies
  • Excellent communicator, able to consult, coach and mentor both internal stakeholders and customers alike
  • Value mindset with a focus on delivering measurable savings and impact to our customers
  • Solution oriented, problem solving mindset to complex challenges
  • Willing and able to travel throughout Europe to customer sites

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment, cooling applications and solutions
  • 5+ years of experience delivering technical solutions within customer-facing environments
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process)
  • Recognized as an expert in industry or technology focus
  • Strong problem solving mindset and approach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, result-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction

Compensation Range: The annual total compensation range for this position is 63,200 - 79,000 - 94,800 EUR (Italy) which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms.
