Overview
As a recognized technical expert in polymer-based ion exchange resins, you drive manufacturing excellence across a global network of facilities. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives to improve product quality, process efficiency, and cost performance while partnering with Supply Chain, RD&E, Marketing, and Sales. Your leadership and data-driven mindset will translate technical insight into sustainable business outcomes, enhancing customer experience and global operations. Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to resolve complex manufacturing and process challenges across global sites
- Assess feasibility of new products, market opportunities, and manufacturing technologies
- Serve as primary technical liaison for Marketing and RD&E on scalability and commercial viability
- Support startup of new production lines and equipment
- Drive process control, product quality, operational efficiency, and cost performance
- Collaborate with RD&E to ensure seamless introduction of new products and technologies
- Develop organizational capability through training in Six Sigma, SPC, and data-driven decision making
- Partner with commercial teams to align manufacturing with customer requirements
- Maintain safety-first culture and contribute to Global Manufacturing Leadership Team
- Document improvements and share best practices across the global network
- Develop and monitor KPIs; prepare status updates on initiatives and milestones
- Support OGSM development and participate in project days and review meetings
- Foster accountability and continuous improvement across the organization
- Build relationships with stakeholders across functions and regions
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline
- 5–15 years of experience with ion exchange resins, polymer resins, and water purification technologies
- Strong knowledge of polymerization, cross-linking chemistry, functionalization, and pendant group chemistry
- Experience with process safety, regulatory compliance, and quality systems in chemical manufacturing
- Proven track record of leading process optimization and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to influence and collaborate across global teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in international manufacturing environments; travel up to 50%
- Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt strongly preferred
