Job Description:

We are seeking an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Maintenance Technician to join our Supply Chain team at the Weavergate site. This role involves maintaining LV, Electrical, and Instrumentation equipment and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all LV, Electrical, and Instrumentation equipment and control systems.
  • Work with process manufacturing equipment, instrumentation, and automated packaging equipment.
  • Assist in planning, scoping, designing, and developing technical improvements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors.
  • Provide coaching to other team members.

Organisational Position: Reports to the Maintenance Manager and works as part of the site maintenance team.

Hours of Work: 5 days/week (Mon – Fri), 6:00 – 21:00, alternating shifts weekly. Flexibility required for occasional day or weekend work, with appropriate notifications and shift allowances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all SHE requirements and improvement programs.
  • Conduct safety observations and provide feedback.
  • Prepare and use Risk Assessments.
  • Address unsafe behaviors.
  • Report incidents and near misses.
  • Maintain site housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Follow Change Management Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical regulations.
  • Participate in emergency response team activities.

Service:

  • Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Maintain automated packaging and instrumentation.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement improvements.
  • Work with suppliers and contractors.
  • Use Computerised Maintenance Management System.

  • Identify cost-effective solutions and manage small projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Time served EC&I technician, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience, preferably on a Top Tier COMAH chemical site.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Trained in hazardous area work (COMPEX) and 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience with chemical process equipment, automation, and CMMS.
