Join Ecolab’s Global Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) division as a Business Development Manager. Global QSR delivers a comprehensive cleaning and food safety program developed specifically for the quick service, fast casual and small footprint markets, partnering with our customers to identify cleaning and sanitation opportunities while reducing food safety risks and the spread of foodborne illnesses.
The Business Development Manager UKIE plays an instrumental role in growing the QSR Europe business in the UK and Ireland, identifying and targeting new opportunities to bring our best-in-class products, programmes and digital food safety platforms to prospects in the fast-food, coffee-chain and small footprint convenience sectors. Central to success is the ability to understand the challenges, needs and opportunities of operators in the market and demonstrate the value of Ecolab’s QSR specific value proposition to close new business.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and nurture an opportunity pipeline using SalesForce for opportunity tracking. Track progress on a weekly basis.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans, targeting prioritized opportunities from no contact to sold.
- Work within the QSR Europe North regional team and with the Area Manager to co-ordinate new business roll-outs, handing-over roll-out activities to the field team and ongoing account management to relevant team members.
- Attend relevant events and build a professional reputation for Ecolab in the sector.
- Work with the QSR Europe Marketing team to use sales materials in a professional and compelling way and build a professional online presence.
- Liaise with other divisions to share opportunities and ensure QSR new business/prospect scope is respected.
- Provide weekly updates and quarterly reviews.
- Degree with seven+ years of experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Proven sales record of identifying opportunities and closing sales wins.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Proven relationship management and consulting skills.
- Problem-solving ability to determine customer solutions.
- Able to clearly identify supporters and key decision makers within a potential customer and directly link both strategy and programs to their needs, ensuring timely success for each opportunity.
- Proven negotiation and presentation expertise.

- Knowledge of the consumer food industry with established contacts is advantageous.
