Eco2Solar are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity to join the UK’s largest and most successful Solar PV installer as a Renewables Electrician, based in Bury. We will help you to develop the skills to future proof your career by installing EV chargers, Solar PV systems, battery storage and innovative products for new build housing developers to meet carbon reduction targets.
About the role
The role of the Renewables Electrician offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company. Stay ahead of the latest technology and work with the UK’s largest new build solar installer, working in partnership with Eon.
Working in a safe and controlled environment, installing renewable energy systems for new build housing developers, your mission will be to achieve the highest standard of quality, safety and customer service in low carbon electrical installations.
As a Renewables Electrician, you will be responsible for:
- The safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters)
- Accurate and timely submission of paperwork
- Compliance with MCS and Health, Safety and Quality standards
This is a site-based role requiring travel on a daily basis. There will be a requirement for overnight stays as and when required. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential within this role. The role requires good technological skills and the ability to use Apps to complete certifications and reports.
Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. A desire to put our clients' needs first and a thirst to develop your own skills is a key part of fitting into this established team.
About you
Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required. It is important that you have:
- 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671)
- N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) OR a completed apprenticeship with AM2
It would be helpful but not essential if you have:
- Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds)
- Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small-Scale PV Systems
- CSCS/ECS Card for site works
- Testing and Inspection
- Experience in 3 phase installations
To be successful in this role you’ll have strong communication skills, be reliable and a team player. You will be able to work within established timeframes and possess excellent timekeeping skills. You will be flexible in working arrangements and be driven to go the extra mile to ensure we deliver a high-quality service for our customers.
