Salary: £40,000 FTE plus a generous bonus scheme and benefits

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Eco2Solar are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity to join the UK’s largest and most successful Solar PV installer as a Renewables Electrician, based in Essex. We will help you to develop the skills to future proof your career by installing EV chargers, Solar PV systems, battery storage and innovative products for new build housing developers to meet carbon reduction targets.

About the role:

  • The role of the Renewables Electrician offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company.
  • Stay ahead of the latest technology and work with the UK’s largest new build solar installer, working in partnership with Eon.
  • Work in a safe and controlled environment, installing renewable energy systems for new build housing developers, achieving the highest standard of quality, safety and customer service in low carbon electrical installations.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters), accurate and timely submission of paperwork, compliance with MCS and Health, Safety and Quality standards.
  • This is a site-based role requiring travel on a daily basis, with a requirement for overnight stays as needed.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Good technological skills and the ability to use Apps to complete certifications and reports are required.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and take overall responsibility for personal workload while delivering excellent levels of service is essential.
  • A desire to put clients’ needs first and a thirst to develop your own skills is key to fitting into this established team.

About you:

  • Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required.
  • 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671).
  • N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) OR a completed apprenticeship with AM2.
  • Helpful but not essential: Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds) Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small-Scale PV Systems, CSCS/ECS Card for site works, Testing and Inspection 2391-52, Experience in 3 phase installations.
