Salary: £40,000 FTE plus a generous bonus scheme and benefits

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

About the role

Eco2Solar is pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity to join the UK’s largest and most successful Solar PV installer, recently invested in by EON, as a Renewables Electrician, based in York. We will help you to develop skills to future‑prove your career by installing EV chargers, Solar PV systems, battery storage and innovative products for new build housing developers to meet carbon reduction targets. The role offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company. Stay ahead of the latest technology and work with the UK’s largest new build solar installer, working in partnership with EON. In a safe and controlled environment, you will install renewable energy systems for new build housing developers. Your mission will be to achieve the highest standard of quality, safety and customer service in low‑carbon electrical installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install PV systems (inverters and generation meters) safely and efficiently.
  • Submit accurate and timely paperwork, complying with MCS and Health, Safety and Quality standards.
  • Perform site‑based work, traveling daily and staying overnight as required.
  • Use apps to complete certifications and reports, demonstrating technological proficiency.
  • Work as part of a team and manage personal workload to deliver excellent levels of service.

About you

Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required.

Essential qualifications:

  • N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) OR completed apprenticeship with AM2

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds)
  • Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small‑Scale PV Systems
  • CSCS/ECS Card for site works
  • Testing and Inspection 2391‑52
  • Experience in 3‑phase installations
