Mini Bus Driver

Overview

Mini bus driver required for transporting young adults with additional needs / challenging behaviours to our premises from within Westcliff, Southend, Benfleet & Canvey Island and back, and on trips out into the local area during the day on a rota basis. Will be covering transport for our 2 evening clubs approximately 1 in every 4/5 weeks. Occasional voluntary weekend overtime to take young adults on trips is available.

Responsibilities

• Transport young adults with additional needs / challenging behaviours to and from premises as required within the specified areas.
• Conduct local area day trips on a rota basis.
• Cover transport for two evening clubs on a rotating schedule (approximately once every 4–5 weeks).
• Occasional voluntary weekend overtime to take young adults on trips.
• Maintain safe and reliable transport operations in line with organisational standards.

Requirements / Qualifications

• D1 entitlement on driving license and no more than 3 points for insurance reasons.
• Experience of driving a minibus or large vehicle and working with additional needs and/or challenging behaviours would be advantageous.
• A flexible attitude is essential.
• Good English communication skills are essential.
• All training provided including MIDAS.
• 25–30 hours per week plus evenings on a rota basis. Occasional weekend overtime available.
• Employment will be subject to Enhanced DBS, Right to Work check and 2 references.
• We are unable to offer sponsorship to non-UK residents. Applicants with Visa restrictions of working only 20 hours per week would not be considered.
