Would you like a rewarding career where you can make a real difference to young adults with additional needs/ challenging behaviours? We have opportunities available at our respite home in Shoeburyness for Waking Nights Support Workers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and personal care to our young adults.
  • Maintain logs and records (on computer and written).
  • Work with other professionals as necessary.
  • Support our young people with emotional or behavioural needs and help to develop social skills.
  • Ensure the home is clean and kept to a good standard during each shift.
  • Provide care for all of our young people including: personal care, bathing and showering, assistance with eating and drinking, tube feeding, administration of medication, cooking, cleaning, and other activities as and when required.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience is advantageous although not essential as training will be provided.
  • A good understanding of young people with varying disabilities and challenging behaviours is essential for this role.
  • Candidates must have good English communication and IT skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude.

Employment details

  • Rate of pay is subject to experience.
  • Working Hours: 21:45 – 09:30. Shifts are allocated on a rota basis.
  • Full-time position available. Contract times will be discussed but will include weekends.
