The Role
Being a Driver at Creed Foodservice is about more than delivering on time. You will get to know regular customers and provide a personalised service. Many drivers follow regular routes, build relationships with customers, and may be recognised for a positive attitude, friendly manner, and willingness to help. You will deliver to a variety of settings (Schools, Care Homes, Pubs, Restaurants, Hotels, Leisure facilities and more) and have the autonomy to go the extra mile to deliver excellent service. You will spend time understanding customer needs and delivering to high standards, with the belief that we #BelieveInMore.
As part of induction, every new starter will spend a day as a Driverβs Mate to understand the valuable role you play in delivering great service and ensuring customers can prepare delicious meals.
In this role you will make multiple drops daily, delivering temperature-controlled products (frozen and refrigerated). You will carry out temperature checks and take the necessary breaks to comply with driver rules. You will follow all legislative requirements, including drivers hours, drive with due care and attention, complete paperwork accurately (VC40, Temperature Records, Debrief), conduct daily checks, resolve issues and report accidents, and ensure that the vehicle (and where applicable fridge and freezer) are fuelled.
