ECO Compliance Solutions Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled IT Operations & QA Technician with expertise in domestic energy assessment, retrofit, and business analysis.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing business compliance, optimizing energy consultancy operations, and ensuring adherence to government energy efficiency regulations.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, data-driven decision-making, and extensive experience in the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for business process improvements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and optimise our CRM systems used for lead intake, job scheduling, compliance tracking, and installer coordination.
- Support development, updates, and bug-fixing for the ECOCS Surveyor App used for EPC and retrofit data collection.
- Perform manual and automated QA testing: functional testing, regression testing, bug logging, and validation of survey-data accuracy.
- Audit property-survey data and CRM entries to ensure compliance with PAS 2035, ECO4, and GBIS requirements.
- Create performance and analytics reports for digital marketing campaigns, lead conversion, and ROI tracking.
- Maintain SOPs and documentation for IT systems, QA processes, and reporting workflows.
- Provide technical and user support to surveyors, admin teams, and management.
- Liaise with external developers for system updates and integration improvements.
- Recommend automation and workflow optimisation across CRM–App–Installer portals.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Degree in Computing, Software Engineering, IT, Data Analytics, or similar.
Certifications (Mandatory)
- QA / testing certification (ISTQB or equivalent).
Experience
- Experience in the energy or compliance sector (EPC, PAS 2035, ECO4/GBIS) is beneficial but not required.
- Experience in software testing or QA (manual or automated), including test-case development and defect tracking.
Preferred Skills
- Strong competency with CRM tools and data-management systems.
- Understanding of testing frameworks or tools (e. g., Selenium, Cypress, Katalon, Postman).
- Good IT troubleshooting ability and confidence supporting multi-disciplinary teams.
- Analytical skills for generating structured marketing and operational reports.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in data auditing and compliance-critical workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage workload independently.
