As part of our continued growth, Eco-Counter recently acquired Traffic Technology, our UK-based distributor. We are now recruiting a New Business Development Manager, based out of Traffic Technologies offices in Silverstone, who will be fully dedicated to promoting and selling Eco-Counter’s solutions to new clients across the UK market. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a purpose-driven, national & international team working in a growing field—where you can see the real-world impact of your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the General Manager to develop and deliver New Business Development strategies which identify and target new business opportunities within the Active Travel and Transport market.
- Drive new business development through proactive outreach methodology, professional presentation with swift responses to created opportunities.
- Win new business by developing a strong understanding of client needs, identifying and recommending the most suitable Eco-Counter solutions which exceed client requirements and deliver long term recurring revenue.
- Engage with and meet decision-makers in cities, counties, national parks, and other public bodies – building long term relationships and becoming their trusted solution expert.
- Attend industry events, conferences to develop market knowledge, competitor activity and network decision makers.
- Provide support throughout the business development lifecycle, from initial client interaction to deal support and documentation.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to gather market intelligence and support brand presence.
What We’re Looking For
- A real sales “Hunter” with a passion for delivering new sales and driving exceptional customer experience.
- Someone who “Loves the thrill of the chase” with excellent ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and accessible way.
- 5-10 years experience of working in the Public sector with a strong interest in active transportation, sustainability, or public space planning.
- If you have the above Sales Skill set and experience of the Active Travel, Transport and Road Safety sectors, you could be an ideal candidate.
- Willingness to travel across the UK with occasional international visits.
