We are looking for an experienced Retrofit Assessor to join our team on a subcontractor basis. This role will involve carrying out energy efficiency assessments of residential and commercial properties in Central London. The Retrofit Assessor will be required to complete surveys, generate reports, and provide recommendations for energy‑saving measures. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of retrofit assessments, be able to complete Energy Performance Reports (EPRs), and possess the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Energy Efficiency Surveys: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residential and commercial properties to evaluate their energy efficiency, including heating systems, insulation, windows, ventilation, and overall building performance.
- Energy Performance Reports (EPRs): Generate detailed EPRs as part of the survey process, providing accurate ratings and recommendations for improvements.
- Recommend Retrofit Measures: Advise clients on energy‑efficient upgrades, such as insulation (CWI, IWI, EWI), heating systems, and renewable energy options.
- Survey Property Types: Perform surveys on a range of property types, including flats, houses, and larger commercial buildings.
- Compliance: Ensure all surveys and reports comply with relevant regulations and standards, including PAS 2035, TrustMark, and other industry guidelines.
- Report Writing: Produce clear, comprehensive, and accurate reports, including findings, recommendations, and potential savings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, clients, and other team members to ensure the successful implementation of energy‑saving measures.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols when conducting assessments on‑site.
Requirements
Experience
- Proven experience as a Retrofit Assessor or in a similar energy efficiency role.
- Experience in conducting energy surveys and generating EPRs.
- Knowledge of building construction, energy‑saving measures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Certification in Retrofit Assessing or an equivalent energy assessment qualification (e.g., Level 3 or Level 4 Retrofit Assessor).
- Must be able to complete Energy Performance Reports (EPRs) to meet legal requirements.
Tools & Equipment
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle for travel to and from survey locations.
- Must provide your own tools for conducting surveys and assessments, including the necessary software to complete Energy Performance Reports (EPRs).
Insurance
- Public liability insurance is required for subcontractors.
