We are a national installation business that installs Insulation, Heating and Renewables measures under the ECO4 scheme. We also complete over 12,000 property visits a month for a range of services including Gas Heating System Installations, Gas Appliance Servicing and Repairs, Electrical Safety Testing (EICRs), Electric Vehicle Charger Installations and energy surveys. Established in 2013, with a head office in Beckenham (BR3) and an office in Preston (PR2), we have grown year-on-year to become a significant competitor for gas, electrical and energy works.

Location: Preston & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £50,000 – £50,000 (based on experience) + Performance Related Bonus

Vehicle: Company van provided with fuel card

Annual Leave: 22 days Annual leave + Bank Holidays

Shift Hours: Hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday (1 hour break)

Successful Insulation manager must have:

  • Excellent technical understanding of insulation and ventilation.
  • 5 years experience in an insulation related role
  • 3 years experience as an operations manager

The Role

As the Field Manager for Insulation Measures within the ECO4 framework, your main responsibility will involve supervising and coordinating all aspects of the insulation measures program while adhering to the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme’s guidelines. Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a network of install teams, predominantly subcontractors but direct labour installers will be a key part of the company’s growth. Ensuring the quality of work reaches the highest standards by monitoring, auditing and performance managing the install teams will form the basis of the role.

The majority of the work completed will be Loft, Room in Roof and Cavity Wall Insulation. There will be occasions when more complex solutions are required (IWI, EWI & Flat Roof Insulation) and these may be contracted out to established firms.

The ideal candidate for this role should have experience in the ECO industry, particularly in managing insulation teams. Prior experience in service delivery, resource planning, and staff development will be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor are crucial attributes, as the role requires both leadership and teamwork capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate accurate and effective project handover from the internal retrofit team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, building regulations, and license obligations.
  • Ensure that installers have completed all necessary project documentation.
  • Oversee day-to-day management and coordination of the Installation teams, including assessing site plans, measuring, and ordering required materials.
  • Manage all subcontractors and operatives performance through KPI tracking and regular meetings.
  • Efficiently manage the distribution of materials to the correct areas.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Head of Operations, including site audit reports, room availability reports, and weekly progress reports.
  • Implement robust quality control measures to assess the performance and workmanship of contractors.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and program requirements, thus maintaining a high level of quality in all installation projects.
  • Take the initiative to identify, recruit, and establish a strong network of contractors for the insulation measures program.

Experience Required

  • Operations / Project Management experience within the ECO industry
  • Excellent understanding of building fabric, insulation and ventilation
  • Excel and Google platforms
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness including financial and contract management
  • Ability to build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
