We are a national installation business that installs insulation, heating and renewables measures under the ECO4 scheme. We also complete over 12,000 property visits a month for a range of services including gas heating system installations, gas appliance servicing and repairs, electrical safety testing (EICRs), electric vehicle charger installations, and energy surveys. Established in 2013, with a head office in Beckenham (BR3) and an office in Preston (PR2), we have grown year-on-year to become a significant competitor for gas, electrical, and energy works.
The Role:
As an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Installer, your core responsibilities involve the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air source heat pump systems in domestic dwellings. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) principles, refrigeration cycles, and the specific mechanics of heat pump systems to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling solutions.
Key tasks include:
- Conducting thorough site assessments to identify the most suitable locations and configurations for ASHP units.
- Accurately installing and connecting the system components to existing heating and electrical infrastructure.
- Calibrating systems for optimal performance.
Additionally, you are expected to provide comprehensive guidance to clients on the operation and maintenance of their ASHP systems, adhere strictly to safety and building codes, and stay informed about the latest industry standards and technological advancements. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work in various environmental conditions, and strong customer service orientation are essential for success in this role.
Required Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions/blueprints/survey forms.
- Able to endure both hot and cold weather.
- Knowledge of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 standards.
- CIS registered (if Sub Contractor).
Education & Experience:
- G3 Unvented Hot Water – Water Regulation.
- Preferred but not essential Gas Safe Registered.
- Working knowledge of Mitsubishi / Daikin / Vaillant.
- Previous experience of working within the ECO Industry.
