An experienced Business Analyst is needed to support a large financial transactions transformation programme for an international specialty insurance group. The focus is on manual payment processes, rapidly converting user stories from discovery into solution design. You will translate requirements into clear, low level designs to enable fast, effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Quickly build rapport and credibility with stakeholders and complete an agreed Business Analysis Approach / plan which aligns with the business analysis framework.
- Define business processes (as-is and to-be) for the manual payments activities.
- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements (including acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements).
- Define and deliver reporting requirements in relation to the solution.
- Provide support to testers in understanding the business requirements / processes and answering any necessary questions.
- Work with UI designer to ensure that potential designs are aligned with requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Finance experience greatly desirable – particularly with respect to general finance processes, accounts, payments, reconciliation / bordereaux, reinsurance.
- Complete requirement to solution traceability with solution architecture.
Skills Requirement
- Skilled business analyst able to work autonomously in structuring, planning (in conjunction with PM) and delivering appropriate BA activity – with strong emphasis on excellent stakeholder management.
- Strong business analysis expertise to ensure appropriate ways of working are carried out for the successful delivery of the project – with a good mix of ‘business’ business analysis and Finance analysis knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence a range of stakeholders at different levels (both business and technical Finance/IT).
- Good knowledge / experience of insurance products and services.
- BCS BA Diploma or equivalent – or progress towards.
- Experience working with PEGA would be advantageous but not essential.
