An experienced Business Analyst is needed to support a large financial transactions transformation programme for an international specialty insurance group. The focus is on manual payment processes, rapidly converting user stories from discovery into solution design. You will translate requirements into clear, low level designs to enable fast, effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution development and detailed design, including facilitating workshops to define low-level process and workflow designs.
- Support transformation initiatives across financial transactions, with a particular focus on manual payments.
- Rapidly consume, refine, and progress a high volume of user stories into deliverable solutions.
- Collaborate closely with technical architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and existing tooling.
- Engage with a broad and diverse stakeholder group across multiple business areas and subsidiaries.
- Identify inefficiencies such as manual spreadsheets, duplicate keying and fragmented processes and define opportunities to consolidate and automate payment flows.
- Contribute to initiatives covering incoming and outgoing payments, expenses, creditors and debtors.
- Ensure solutions are pragmatic, scalable and aligned to the wider enterprise technology estate.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong Business Analysis experience within large, complex transformation programmes.
- Proven experience working on financial systems and payment processes, with the ability to “speak the language of finance.”
- Solid understanding of manual and semi-manual finance operations, including transaction processing and controls.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments, with a flexible and pragmatic approach.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed design levels, bridging enterprise architecture and delivery teams.
- Familiarity with large ERP environments (e.g. PeopleSoft), particularly where processes remain heavily manual.
- Awareness of existing enterprise tooling and how to design within established technology constraints.
