Leading consumer goods client requires a Senior Bayesian Data Scientist to drive pricing strategy and price optimisation through advanced statistical modeling and probabilistic methods. Remote first with flexibility for occasional presence in their London office. This role will own the end‑to‑end data pipeline – collection, extraction, manipulation, analysis and validation – ensuring data is ready for modelling, with a specific focus on pricing dynamics, demand elasticity and revenue optimisation. You will work closely with the Data Science team to build and refine pricing models, ensuring robustness, validity and commercial impact.
Requirements:
- Strong experience developing Bayesian models in a pricing or commercial analytics context
- Expert in Python
- Strong experience with PyMC is essential
- Experience building regression‑based models for price elasticity and demand forecasting
- Strong understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques applied to pricing optimisation
- Experience with probabilistic programming and Bayesian inference
- Familiarity with price sensitivity analysis, willingness‑to‑pay modelling or revenue management is a strong advantage
- Good working knowledge of cloud‑based data science frameworks
