Based at state-of-the-art facilities just outside Royston, this growing company has garnered a number of high-profile corporate partners as it looks to develop their scalable robotics-based platform. As they expand, they are looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to take a technical leadership role with hands-on engineering responsibilities.
The position is embedded within the robotics group of the company, taking project ownership of advanced robotic subsystems and broader software integration. Work will be a combination of design, testing and delivery for software within electro-mechanical systems. Specifically, this will involve high-performance control systems for autonomous mobile robotics, machine vision systems, and robotics arms.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, electronics or similar AND demonstrable project expertise working on industrial robotic systems including mobile robots, machine vision systems and multi-DoF arm robotics.
- Substantial experience with ROS 1 / 2 for robotic control systems and automation including network protocols.
- Experience of safety-critical systems used within automation.
- Extensive experience using Python for robotics.
- This is a senior role, so project leadership experience would be expected. This could include managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Interested candidates must hold full rights to work within the UK without time restrictions.
