Overview
This London tech start‑up is disrupting the global transport sector through their innovative software solutions.
They are a growing team and are currently looking for a senior software engineer to join them in a technical lead and individual contributor role (working closely with the CTO and software team).
They will have experience using Rust as well as C / C++ on efficient optimal code bases.
They will be able to mentor junior members of the team, project manage, and provide useful technical strategic insight into the business.
Projects can be fast‑paced, and so they are keen that past start‑up experience can be utilised.
Similarly, they are pro‑LLMs for prototyping, so they want someone who can utilise modern ML tools but also has the technical experience to understand the code being written.
Requirements
- Having excelled at university (1st / 2.1 STEM degree from a top ranked university), you will have extensive industry experience building mission critical software products used in live environments.
- You’ll be an individual contributor and software polyglot, but more recently delivered projects using Rust (and ideally the wider Rust ecosystem).
- You will have worked in one or more start‑ups, understanding how fast‑paced projects can be delivered successfully. This should include the use of LLMs for code prototyping.
- You can demonstrate leadership qualities through past experience including motivation and inspiration through technical leadership, mentoring, and contributions to company strategy / business.
The company is based in central London but operate a highly hybrid work environment (although one week every quarter, the company meets in person at their London offices for a strategy get‑together).
Interested candidates therefore are expected to be based in London, or able to come to London for such meetings.
Further, there can be occasional overseas travel for client meetings.
On offer is an excellent compensation and possible share options.
Note, no company sponsorship is available – all interested applicants should have full, unrestricted rights to work in the UK.
