Based in Cambridge, this growing start-up are ramping up their product development operations and are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to help support their growing team.
In this broad-ranging role, you will be working with other technicians and colleagues from other fields of expertise. Your remit would include, ordering of components and consumables, assembly of evaluation kits and electromechanical test jigs, creation of bespoke PCBs, testing, troubleshooting, dispatch of product samples to clients, and maintenance of lab equipment and working procedures.
You will need:
- A good degree or HNC in electronics or a related subject.
- A solid understanding of electronics, and practical hands-on skills in test, assembly and measurement using typical lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, PSUs, and test chambers.
- Great soldering skills, including working with small surface mount components and IR reflow equipment.
- Good written and verbal communications skills, and organisational ability.
- Familiarity with working in an electronics R&D setting, and knowledge of best working practices and health and safety considerations.
- Full, existing and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
