This highly regarded engineering company based in Cambridge is seeking talented engineers with technical knowledge in the Health Tech sector who want a more client facing and commercially focused role.

You will initially work as an engineer and in time develop your commercial knowledge and understanding until you are working primarily in business development.

Your transition will be fully supported both by other business development professionals and engineers.

Long term you will be using your expert technical knowledge to help build relationships across the Health Tech sector and bring technical credibility to early-stage business development conversations.

Further you will help create compelling proposals for new products and technologies and help identify new areas for long-term growth.

You must have

  • Commercial experience in the Health Tech sector developing advanced surgical devices, biosensors or closely related Health Tech devices.
  • Very strong academic background in electronics or mechanical engineering with at least a master's and ideally a relevant Ph D or postdoctoral experience.
  • Clear and obvious desire to transition into a commercially focused business development role.
  • Excellent communications skills, able to discuss technical ideas and solutions to experts in the field as well as non-technical upper management.

You will be primarily located at their recently built and well-appointed offices on the outskirts of Cambridge.

Travel to conferences and customers around the UK, Europe and the USA is a key aspect of this role and so you should expect to be out of the office regularly.

Remunerations are good and come with clear career growth potential.
