This life science tech start up are looking for an Applied Biochemist to join their growing team. The role is multidisciplinary and really would utilise skills and knowledge from a range of scientific areas. The position would be based in their labs and will involve:
- Designing and prototyping experimental systems
- Capturing data from biophysical assays
- Developing SOPs to ensure experimental reproducibility
- Supporting IP generation
This is an exciting opportunity to join a start up, work on innovative technology and be part of an interesting applied scientific project.
Qualifications:
- MRes or MPhil in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biophysics, with demonstrable project experience incorporating microfluidics. PhD candidates would be considered.
- Strong project experience working in a scientific lab ideally within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience handling proteins or nucleic acids.
- Any experience with Arduino used for test rigs, or Python scripting for automation would be desirable.
