Work in a small, dedicated software team on scientific instrumentation projects in Royston, Hertfordshire; to £65,000 DoE. This established scientific instrument company provides applied biotechnologies used for protein characterisation, antibody discovery and cell line development. Their instruments are based on proprietary innovations around microfluidic systems and transformative in-solution technologies. They currently have a small software team and are looking for a senior / mid-level engineer to join them.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of data collection and analysis software
- Contributing to instrument control
- Debugging embedded software
- Providing relevant testing
Requirements:
- Masters degree in computer science, engineering, physics or other related discipline
- Demonstrable industry project experience in software engineering including the successful delivery of hardware-related instrumentation products to market
- Wide range of technical competence in programming including C#, MVVM, embedded C++, Python, and TypeScript
- Application software for both Windows and Linux
- Any experience with image processing, Java or machine learning would be desirable
