As a Security Engineering Consultant, you will be using your experience to identify potential hardware or physical cyber threats, develop proof-of-concepts which can be demonstrated, and bring to fruition recommendations for security solutions.

Note projects may rapidly evolve as the technology landscape evolves which means multi-year programmes of support.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background (1st / 2.1 degree in computer science, physics or similar), and extensive demonstrable engineering understanding of electronics hardware, sensors, and complex systems within real world applications.
  • Experience building and developing hardware prototypes for security applications and subsequently demonstrating their use (ideally relating to RF, firmware, network communications of similar).
  • Strong technical skills in hardware interfaces, protocols and hardware debugging.

The role suits out-of-the-box thinkers, who can come up with creative solutions that are technically robust.

Due to the consultancy nature of the role, strong communication skills are required (both for presenting and engaging with clients, as well as written for documentation and reports).

Previous experience in a consultancy environment would be highly desirable.

Similarly, experience working in the UK defence and security sector would be advantageous.

This role is based fully onsite, with travel to visit clients when required.

All interested candidates must be eligible for security clearance and hold British nationality.
