This engineering company develops market leading software for modelling fluid flow in specialised industries. They are looking for a PhD qualified Mathematician, Engineer or Physicist to join their growing team to provide numerical modelling expertise. You will be adapting existing methods and developing new techniques to solve a range of PDEs and ODEs including those developed in-house. You will then implement these new methods in conjunction with the software team into production ready code.

Working at a nimble company at the cutting-edge of simulation software, you will be developing genuinely new numerical methods and have the opportunity to see your work all the way through to commercialisation and beyond. With work underway on the next major revision of the software and plenty of new features on the roadmap, there will be plenty of work to keep you engaged.

You will be working alongside other numerical modelling developers with similar backgrounds as well as an experienced software development team. Hybrid working is the norm with up to three days per week at home.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a STEM subject supported by a strong undergraduate degree from a respected university
  • Good mathematical programming skills, ideally in C#
