Develop counter‑drone technologies for use on the battlefield
This highly specialised team of engineers works on the cutting‑edge of drone detection, identification and tracking. They combine sophisticated optical systems and state‑of‑the‑art machine learning software with readily available and low‑cost additive manufacturing and single‑board computer technologies to create life‑protecting solutions.
Responsibilities
As a senior engineer you will work on the mechanical and electrical designs, solving complex challenges, refining concepts and supporting prototyping. This will include time spent at workshop facilities as well as at customer sites both in the country and abroad.
Requirements
- Strong hands‑on engineering skills and a passion for building and problem solving
- Commercial experience guiding products from concept through prototyping and into production, including knowledge of additive manufacture
- Proficiency with both mechanical and electronic design and a solid understanding of general engineering principles
- Impressive academics including a relevant degree from a top university (top 10 in the UK)
This role requires applicants to be eligible for UK security clearance. This typically means you must be a UK national.
Located in picturesque surroundings to the south of Cambridge, you will be joining a small and highly motivated team working on products that will truly save lives on the battlefield.
