Client-facing engineering with close contact to customers and UK / overseas travel. This growing defence start-up are looking to recruit STEM graduates to join their Technologist team. These engineering specialists will work closely with the company’s customers, supporting product deployment, product training and post-deployment support. The role will be part of a small, dedicated team who are given a lot of autonomy and work ownership.

Requirements:

  • Top academics: A* in maths and physics at A-level (or 7s at higher level IB), followed by a 1st / 2.1 in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Natural Science or Computer Science from top ranked UK university (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial or similar).
  • Strong communication skills, evidenced through either project work or extracurricular activities (this should include some form of leadership and / or management).
  • Aptitude to pick things up quickly including innovative technology around electronics.
  • Able to travel within the UK and overseas on short notice (when necessary).
  • Must be British nationals and eligible for UK security clearance within the defence sector.

Specific training will be provided, but the ability to assimilate complex technology involved in product electronics is expected. This role will be based at their offices close to Cambridge, with expected travel to external customers on occasion.
