Hands-on lab development of new technologies involving microfluidic techniques. This life science tech start-up is looking for an Applied Biochemist to join their growing team. The role is multidisciplinary and really would utilise skills and knowledge from a range of scientific areas. The position would be based in their labs and will involve:

  • Designing and prototyping experimental systems
  • Capturing data from biophysical assays
  • Developing SOPs to ensure experimental reproducibility
  • Supporting IP generation

Requirements:

  • MRes or MPhil in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biophysics, with demonstrable project experience incorporating microfluidics. PhD candidates would be considered.
  • Strong project experience working in a scientific lab ideally within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience handling proteins or nucleic acids.
  • Any experience with Arduino used for test rigs, or Python scripting for automation would be desirable.
