The Facilities Team Member is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper functioning of the facility. This role involves performing routine repairs, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for employees and visitors. This role will be working Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 at £13.10. It is based in Foston, so your own vehicle is a must.
Duties
- Previous experience in a similar role (basic knowledge of tools and plant equipment).
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, garden maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of all common areas, including yard and operations areas.
- Assist with setting up meetings and office relocations.
- Monitor and replenish facility supplies, including cleaning materials and office essentials.
- Respond to maintenance requests from departments in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with external contractors and service providers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Support emergency response procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans.
Experience
- High school GCSE or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial work, or related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, garden equipment and plant equipment.
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
