The Facilities Team Member is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper functioning of the facility. This role involves performing routine repairs, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for employees and visitors. This role will be working Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 at Β£13.10. It is based in Foston, so your own vehicle is a must.

Duties

  • Previous experience in a similar role (basic knowledge of tools and plant equipment).
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, garden maintenance.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of all common areas, including yard and operations areas.
  • Assist with setting up meetings and office relocations.
  • Monitor and replenish facility supplies, including cleaning materials and office essentials.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from departments in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and service providers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Support emergency response procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans.

Experience

  • High school GCSE or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial work, or related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, garden equipment and plant equipment.
  • Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: Β£13.10 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
