PURPOSE OF POST
To support the business in the technical preparation and delivery of projects. Act as the subject matter expert within a specific technical discipline, while possessing a broad working understanding of adjacent disciplines including Rigging, Lighting, Sound, Video and General Technical operations. The Technical Manager will work alongside project teams to achieve the best possible technical outcomes for the business, ensuring plans and specifications can be realised on schedule and within budget.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Discuss and advise on technical requirements, within project teams, sales teams and directly with clients.
- Produce technical documentation, including but not limited to, specifications, schematics, health and safety documents.
- Produce floor plans via Vectorworks.
- Project prep and delivery.
- Provide consultation to the wider team on technical best practice.
- Manage pre-production within a project team.
- Produce accurate quotations as appropriate.
- Discuss event requirements with clients directly, where required.
- Assist and advise in maintaining cost control and event specific margin targets.
- Liaise cross departmentally, to ensure the highest level of service is received and all projects are carried out in accordance with client specific requirements.
Additional Duties
- Involvement in CAPEX consultation as required.
- Assist in identifying areas of improvement across the business.
- Champion Eclipse’s technical policies and procedures.
- Facilitate technical innovation and best practice in technical design.
