Job Purpose:
This is a broad, hands-on in-house role where you’ll sit right alongside the business not off to the side. You’ll work across commercial contracts, projects, regulatory questions and day-to-day legal issues, helping teams move quickly and make well informed decisions. Expect variety, pace and responsibility from day one, with support and autonomy to make a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements across the business EPC, asset adoption, frameworks, NDAs, consultancy agreements and more.
- Not just spotting risk but helping the team navigate it.
- Partnering with commercial, technical and finance colleagues to structure and deliver projects.
- Translating legal complexity into clear, practical advice.
- Supporting new platforms, partnerships and growth initiatives.
- Getting involved in transactions, JVs and strategic deals where needed.
- Supporting on regulatory and compliance issues, particularly in UK energy.
- Keeping things moving without over-engineering.
- Being the go-to for general legal queries across the business.
- Building smarter ways of working, templates, playbooks, processes.
- Making legal an enabler, not a bottleneck.
