Job Summary
We are hiring a Client Specialist to support a leading global investment bank within its Commodities & Global Markets division. The Commodities and Global Markets Client Specialist Unit is a frontline team supporting clients and counterparties across all ready-to-trade activities. The team works in close partnership with Sales, Origination, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to enable efficient client onboarding and servicing while ensuring adherence to non-financial risk requirements. The function is focused on delivering a consistent client experience and managing risk outcomes across a portfolio of funds and regulated financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- As a Client Specialist within Commodities and Global Markets, you will take ownership of client relationships from a compliance, administrative, and servicing perspective.
- You will act as the primary point of contact for clients on all ready-to-trade matters, ensuring that regulatory and contractual requirements are met.
- You will partner with Sales and Origination teams to manage non-revenue responsibilities, enabling greater focus on commercial activities while maintaining strong client engagement.
- The role requires translating regulatory requirements into clear, client-relevant outcomes and ensuring consistent application of compliance and risk policies.
- You will support a portfolio of funds and regulated entities, including asset managers, hedge funds, private equity funds, and financial institutions, ensuring effective onboarding and ongoing engagement.
Eligibility Requirements
- Extensive experience in investment management operating models, fund structures, regulation, and organisational frameworks, particularly within the EMEA region.
- Strong understanding of complex fund and ownership structures, including SPVs, trusts, hedge funds, funds of funds, UCITS, AIFs, master-feeder structures, and umbrella funds.
- Ability to navigate cross-border structures involving partnerships, securitisation vehicles, and holding companies.
- Expertise in client due diligence, financial crime risk management, and policy application.
- Strong knowledge of physical commodities and derivatives products, including contracts for difference, forwards, futures, swaps, swaptions, and options.
- Experience supporting contractual negotiation processes, including ISDA, CSA, EFET, and other derivatives agreements.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and classifications, including MiFID, EMIR, AMLD5 and 6, FATCA, CFTC Rules, and the Dodd-Frank Act.
- Fluency or working proficiency in one or more EMEA languages to support cross-border client interaction and documentation.
