Summary
eClerx is looking for a business analyst from the banking industry. The candidate will also have responsibility for some light data analysis. The candidate should have previous experience at an investment bank, exchange, or clearing house, specifically with a regulatory reporting background. Skills in analyzing information, gathering requirements, documenting them, building specifications, target operating models, and familiarity with Agile frameworks are required. The role offers opportunities to contribute to process, procedure, and application optimization. Experience with process improvement and controls is also desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for technology solutions supporting downstream applications.
- Assess and manage project and application risks and issues.
- Collaborate with analysts and SMEs to identify and remediate functional gaps, driving continuous process improvements.
- Document product artifacts including TOMs, control frameworks, business requirements, user stories, and test plans.
- Perform data wrangling and analytics operations.
- Draft report specifications after analyzing complex database schemas.
- Communicate effectively through presentations and written reports.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of technical experience in financial services.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL or similar data analytics tools.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience, including specification writing and critical thinking.
- Experience in investment banking with regulatory reporting capabilities.
- Knowledge of Jira and agile methodologies.
- Experience working with diverse teams to gather requirements and analyze technical trade-offs.
