We are working with a leading defence organisation looking to appoint a Missile Test and Testability Expert to support its Test Architect team. The role will involve shaping test strategies across missile programmes, improving test equipment requirements and using technical expertise to enhance testing, diagnostics and failure analysis from early development through to production and in-service support. Typical responsibilities include: * Developing project test strategies, test equipment requirements and Built-In Test (BIT) architecture * Analysing production test data to identify trends, diagnose failures and improve test coverage * Leading testability analysis and modelling to assess system performance and develop diagnostic instructions * Reviewing and improving test specifications, processes and best practice across projects * Providing technical leadership, mentoring colleagues and supporting bids, technical reviews and departmental strategy The ideal candidate will have: * A degree or equivalent qualification, alongside significant experience in electronic testing throughout the project lifecycle * Experience in electronic circuit design, testing, failure analysis and test equipment design * Experience in requirements capture, test equipment specification and Design for Test (DfT) or testability engineering * Strong project management, planning and technical leadership skills * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and a willingness to travel within the UK and Europe This position offers a lucrative benefits package, which includes but is not limited to: * Company bonus scheme, with potential payments of up to 27% of base salary * Car allowance of £300 per month * Strong employer pension contribution * Private medical insurance * Flexible working arrangements welcomed * Enhanced parental leave, covering maternity, adoption, shared parental and paternity leave, plus neonatal leave and fertility testing/treatment support * Excellent on-site facilities, including subsidised meals and free car parking Flexible working arrangements are available, with a blended approach to on-site and remote working considered where the role allows.
