A well-established private members’ club in Hertfordshire is looking to appoint an organised and personable Membership & Events Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys administration, customer interaction, and coordinating events within a professional yet friendly environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing reception duties, telephone calls and email enquiries
  • Supporting membership administration including onboarding, renewals and member communications
  • Coordinating internal events, competitions, functions and presentation evenings
  • Assisting with conferences, society days, celebrations and private bookings
  • Preparing function sheets, booking information and event administration
  • Liaising with members, guests, suppliers and internal teams
  • Supporting event logistics including menus, room layouts and guest requirements
  • Processing charges, invoices and ensuring accurate monthly billing
  • Providing wider administrative support to the senior operations team

The successful candidate:

  • Highly organised, confident communicating with a wide range of people
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Strong administrator with polished customer service skills
  • Operates with integrity and discretion, maintaining client confidentiality
  • Previous experience within hospitality, events, membership organisations, or leisure would be highly beneficial
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends for events
