A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Configuration Engineer to join a specialist engineering department, supporting the control and governance of complex product data across multiple programmes. This role performs the duties of a Senior Configuration Engineer and reports into a senior configuration or engineering authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide configuration control and technical data management support across complex engineering products
- Interpret and manage technical data, drawings and Bills of Materials for large product assemblies
- Prepare, maintain and control Configuration Management documentation to support programme governance
- Manage and implement engineering design changes across multi-stakeholder environments
- Prepare and present change information within formal change control meetings
- Support internal and supplier audits, ensuring configuration processes are adhered to across the supply chain
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of engineering data, CAD models and documentation
The ideal candidate would have:
- Experience within Configuration Control or Technical Data Management in an aerospace, defence or similar regulated engineering environment
- Familiarity with Configuration Management principles within a controlled engineering setting
- Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management tools, ideally PTC Windchill
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with engineering, project and functional stakeholders
The ideal candidate must have:
- Proven experience interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials for complex engineering products
- Experience managing engineering change across multiple stakeholders and governance forums
- A strong eye for detail and a high level of integrity when controlling engineering data and documentation
- The ability to support and contribute to configuration-related audits
