We are supporting a leading independent provider of project engineering based in Redhill who are looking to add a Security Engineer to their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing information security plans and policies
- Implementing protections and solutions to ensure and enforce the information security plans and policies
- Centre of excellence for network and device security
- Designing, building, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting security solutions (IDS/IPM/SIEM)
- Writing and maintaining configuration/reconfiguration documentation, schematics, support guides and other documentation as required.
The Successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 years multi-network exposure including hands-on experience of designing and managing secure networks including:
- Cisco Firewalls, Routers & Switches
- Compliance Standards (ISO27001 and ITIL)
- Security tool sets (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
- Pen testing tools
- Juniper platforms
- Must hold, or have the ability to easily achieve SC Security Clearance
- Excellent organisation with pro-active and can-do attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an eye for detail
Desirable:
- Telecommunications background ideally with knowledge of satcom and/or maritime communications background.
- UK MOD/Government networks experience.
