The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

We are currently working closely with a leading defence organisation who are looking for a Lead Architect to join a dedicated and collaborative systems engineering team. This is a full-time permanent position with dynamic hybrid working (3–5 days on-site depending on classification).

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the generation of architectural artefacts across a complex mission planning and control project.
  • Guide and support other architects in a multi-product environment.
  • Drive modularity and re-use across multiple systems.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leads to ensure delivery of work packages on time and within scope.
  • Influence system design and take ownership of architectural vision across the programme.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong background in complex systems architecture with hands-on experience in MBSE.
  • Experience working within product line environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
  • Proven ability to lead small to medium work packages independently.
  • Strong analytical thinking and an aptitude for tackling complex engineering challenges.

Proficiency with:

  • Rhapsody and SysML (essential)
  • IBM Engineering Workflow Management / Rational Team Concert (essential)
  • DOORS Next Generation (ideal)
