We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Buntingford who are recruiting for a Management Accountant on a full-time basis, for an initial 12-month contract. This is a fully office-based role, and you will ideally be part-qualified with experience in a similar accounting position. This is a varied opportunity within a fast-paced environment, supporting both the transactional and month-end accounting function.
Typical duties include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting with month-end processes
- Completing bank reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies
- Supporting the transactional finance function including purchase and sales ledger where required
- Assisting with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the accounting system is up to date
- Supporting cashflow monitoring and daily banking activities
- Working closely with the wider finance team to support day-to-day accounting operations
- Assisting with reporting and analysis to support business decision making
- Supporting year-end processes and audit preparation where required
- Providing general accounting support across the finance department
