We are currently recruiting on behalf of our clients based in Cambridge who are recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a full-time basis. Our client can offer a hybrid working model, and you will need to have experience in a similar position.

Typical duties include:

* Processing purchase requests and purchase orders, monitoring accounts payable

* Preparing and processing purchase invoices for payment

* Processing expense claims and reconciling credit card expenses

* Maintaining the accounting system, ensuring records are accurate and reconciled

* Filing invoices, purchase orders and other relevant documents

* Maintaining petty cash records

* Monitoring bank accounts, making payments online, and completing weekly bank reconciliations

* Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and year-end audit requirements

* Participating in projects and providing cover for the team as needed

You will have:

* Previous experience in a finance/accounts payable role

* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

* The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders

* Proficiency with accounting systems and MS Office (Excel in particular)

* A proactive and adaptable approach with a willingness to support across the finance function
