Are you an experienced Court of Protection Paralegal looking to join a highly regarded London firm with a strong reputation for client care? We are working with a leading Legal 500 firm seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paralegal to join their specialist Court of Protection team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative environment that genuinely prioritises both client outcomes and staff development.
The Role
You will work closely with Partners, Solicitors, and fellow Paralegals, supporting a wide range of Court of Protection matters while gaining exposure to high-quality work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the provision of legal and administrative support to clients
- Supporting fee earners in delivering legal advice, including attending client meetings and taking notes
- Visiting clients in hospitals, care homes, and their homes where required
- Managing client payments, maintaining accurate financial schedules, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, understanding and supporting their individual needs
- Handling correspondence with clients, solicitors, and third parties in a professional and confidential manner
- Drafting legal documents including letters, witness statements, and Court applications
- Supporting multiple fee earners across the team as required
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards
About You
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with a genuine interest in Court of Protection work and supporting vulnerable clients.
You will have:
- Previous experience within Court of Protection (preferred) or a similar area such as private client
- A Law degree (preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational ability with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A flexible, proactive, and can-do attitude
- Confidence working with figures and managing financial information
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
